The Foundry Communications Ltd.

Some of our clients know us as designers and builders of unusually effective Web sites. Some use us to produce ad campaigns, that change minds and make sales. For others, we design packs, POS material, internal motivation campaigns or even exhibition stands and conferences. As one of our clients once said: "You're a design shop that thinks. A Web consultancy with strategies. An ad agency that cares about design." And our work works because it's based on our love of brands.

The Foundry Scoops Six Creative Awards

Design agency, The Foundry, has scooped six awards in the 2008 Summit International Creative Awards, including “The President’s Award”. The number of wins also gave The Foundry a top five placing among all companies that entered.

The Summit Awards are seen as one of the most prestigious acknowledgements of creative excellence. This year, there were over five thousand award entries, from companies based in twenty-five countries around the world.

The Foundry walked away with “The President’s Award”, for its “The Knowledge” – an educational website for client and international brewing group Scottish & Newcastle. The judges commented that the website was: “Clean, inviting, consistent, interactive and tremendously satisfying for a visitor.” “The President’s Award” is chosen from all the Gold Award winners in all categories.

Besides scooping a Gold Award for “The Knowledge” website, The Foundry also received a Gold Award in the business-to-business service website category. This was for its “Way of the Monkey” website for client Cheeky Monkey, a change management consultancy. The Foundry also took Silver in the billboard category for a 48-sheet poster campaign. Two Bronze Awards completed the company’s tally, one in the announcement/greeting category and one in the photographic category.

Commenting on the award successes, Kevin Murphy, Managing Director at The Foundry, says: “To receive such international recognition for our work, including “The President’s Award”, is a tribute to our team's talent and to our clients continuing to strive to create inspiring and memorable work”.
